Program Spotlight: “Echoes of the Neighborhood” Documentary Project
With the generous support of the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, our All-Stars at Stuart-Hobson Middle School are creating a documentary on the history and culture of Capitol Hill through a “day in the life” of Stuart-Hobson students. We are hosting a formal screening of the “Echoes of the Neighborhood” documentary on May 29 at 5:30pm at the Hill Center, 921 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003. Join us for a screening and Q&A with the young filmmakers! The event is free and open to the public. Light finger foods and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. We hope to see you there!
Our Schools
All-Star students participate in classes and activities that develop their skills, motivate their desire for mastery, and increase their levels of engagement. Research shows that a combination of academics, enrichment activities, and healthy lifestyles improve student achievement.
Every site provides academic support and tutoring, hands-on learning activities that reinforce school lessons, fitness and sports activities, and enrichment activities like art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, SEL, mentoring, and environmental justice.

Partner Spotlight: Candice Napper
Candice is the President and Founder of EYL 365 Project which provides workshops to students at our D.C. sites, focused on all types of visual art, as well as other subjects such as music production, theater, culinary art, mixed media, and creative writing.
