Onboarding

Welcome to After-school all-stars!

In making ASAS the next step in your career, you have decided to join a group of dedicated professionals who individually and collectively dedicate themselves to creating opportunities for our nation’s most vulnerable youth. One of the most effective ways to support the hopes and dreams of our next generation of students is by working collaboratively to create a safe environment after-school that helps students further their aspirations, enhances their social-emotional skills, and positions them for future success in school and in life.

After-School All-Stars was founded in 1992 by Arnold Schwarzenegger who was compelled to give back to the country that had given him so much. We are here today thanks to a citizen who saw a tremendous opportunity to address a challenge that was affecting the community and decided to take action. Over the last three decades, the support of countless staff, board members, community partners, donors and volunteers – united in our mission – has carried on this legacy of taking action. And looking ahead, with you on our team, we will continue to pursue our mission together. Our collective work is rooted in five core values: proactive, entrepreneurial, transparent, collaborative, and accountable. These values guide our organization’s culture, and I encourage you to embrace them.

I am honored to welcome you to our organization and look forward to getting to know you and working together to close the opportunity gap. I want you to know that we deeply value the unique, diverse, passionate, caring, and dedicated employees that make us who we are. ASAS is not buildings, or products. ASAS isn’t tangible. ASAS is our people – it’s our students and alumni, parents and principals; it’s our employees; it’s you.

Welcome to After-School All-Stars, I’m so glad you’re here!

Sincerely,
Ben Paul
CEO of After-School All-Stars

"I absolutely love working for All Stars knowing that I have the opportunity to build relationships with our students and families we serve in a fun way. It's a great feelings to know we have a positive force in their education experience and personal growth."
Jasmine Hart
"I was nervous to supervise a team for the first time. My supervisor gave me so much support and was always willing to talk through tough conversations with me when they needed to happen. This job is going to have hard days, but keep showing up. The kids are worth it and deserve the best."
Autumn Graves
