Ranna grew up in Pullman, WA and attended Washington State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a double minor in business and comparative ethnic studies. Ranna also went on to earn a master’s degree in sport and leisure service management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She later authored and published “Outcome Study of an After-School Program for Youth in a High-risk Environment,” which appeared in volume 26 of Journal of Park and Recreational Administration.
Ranna joined After-School All-Stars in 2004 as Program Manager for two years with ASAS Las Vegas. She returned in 2009 as Associate Director before being promoted to Executive Director in June 2013. Ranna oversaw ASAS Las Vegas’s operations and the deployment of its mission at 14 schools throughout Southern Nevada, while being the liaison between the board of directors and other various partners throughout the community.
A Washington native, Ranna is excited to return to her home state and represent ASAS in the Puget Sound region as the organization’s primary ambassador and spokesperson. As the Founding Executive Director for the newest ASAS chapter, Ranna is working hard to establish partnerships throughout the communities that will be served by our programming.
