Tampa Bay All Stars Get a Once in a Lifetime Look at the Stanley Cup
Students with After School All Stars Tampa Bay recently had an unforgettable afternoon at Pepin Charter School, thanks to an exciting visit from the NHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
During the special event, students had the rare opportunity to see the Stanley Cup up close, giving them a firsthand look at one of the most iconic trophies in sports. For many students, it was a once in a lifetime moment that brought the excitement of professional hockey directly to their school community.
The celebration did not stop there. Students also had the chance to meet Tampa Bay Lightning alumni, who spent time connecting with students and sharing in the excitement of the day. The event continued with a fun celebration featuring pizza and ice cream, giving students the opportunity to relax, connect with friends, and enjoy the memorable experience together.
Moments like this reflect the power of community partnerships in expanding opportunities for young people beyond the classroom. Experiences that introduce students to new interests, inspire curiosity, and bring communities together help make afterschool programs a place where learning and discovery continue long after the school day ends.
This special day would not have been possible without the support of incredible partners including the NHL, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and GEICO. We are also grateful to ASAS Tampa Bay board member Jay Feaster, whose dedication to our students and community helps make opportunities like this possible.
Together, these partnerships continue to create meaningful experiences that inspire and uplift the next generation of All Stars.
