We recently celebrated the 12th anniversary of our Annual Westime Charity Night, graciously hosted by After-School All-Stars founder Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Simonian of Westime. Each year, this fundraiser serves as a powerful reminder that it takes a dedicated community to create lasting change. It’s events like these that allow us to continue serving over 150,000 students across 700+ schools throughout the nation.
What started as a small, intimate gathering has transformed into a night where generosity fills the room and people come together, united by a common goal: supporting the students and families of After-School All-Stars. It was heartwarming to witness the true excitement of our attendees, donors, and partners.
This year, we raised an astounding $8 million, more than any previous Charity Night. This brings our total since 2013 to $46 million, all dedicated to providing our students with the support, guidance, and opportunities they deserve.
We were honored to be joined by ASAS Los Angeles Alum and staff member Victor Garcia. Victor attended Charity Night with his mother, Dolores, and shared an emotional and empowering speech about his full-circle journey from ASAS student to program leader. We were moved by his strength and perseverance.
This year, esteemed artists such as Damien Hirst, Gregory Siff, and Wes Lang donated their original pieces to the auction. It was inspiring to witness them harness their creativity and use their art as a powerful means to give back to our All-Stars students. We are so thankful to all our auction donors, each of whom made a meaningful contribution to the evening.
Mariachi Reyna, the first all-female mariachi band in the nation, welcomed each guest as they arrived with their signature sound.
Chef Eric Klein, Chef Garry Larduinat, Ashley Lampe, and the Wolfgang Puck team brought flavor with a western flair to the evening and had guests returning for seconds and thirds!
