All year, students have been learning about the many elements of filmmaking from Todd Inman at Tinman Creative Productions. Tinman’s “Act Successful Workshop” gives students the knowledge and resources to create positive content for film, stage, television, and online media. In addition to introducing students to filmmaking techniques, this interactive workshop puts an emphasis on leadership, team building, multitasking, stress management, organization, and more.

All-Stars concluded the workshop by producing a short film that was written, directed, and performed by the students. “Act Successful” projects typically address themes like conflict resolution, educational aspiration, neighborhood cleanup, and financial literacy. Titled Bad Decision at the Mall, the All-Stars’ film touched on friendship, peer pressure, choices, and consequences.
