With another giving season upon us, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact your support has made this year. Together, we’ve reached more than 150,000 students at 728 sites nationwide. But as we remind you every year, each one of those students has a unique story, a one-of-a-kind journey.
Like James.
As the youngest child in a single-parent household, James faced challenges that many of his peers didn’t understand. As a result, he often found himself drawn to older students whose influence led him astray, affecting his academic performance. That all changed when James joined All-Stars in sixth grade.
Under the guidance of our mentors, James improved his grades and stepped into a leadership role on the Youth Advisory Board. In seventh grade, he started a student resource store and collected 500+ school and hygiene items for peers in need. James even traveled to the state capital to advocate for out-of-school time programs.
Today, James is a thriving tenth grader who has discovered his passion for athletics, drama, and cooking. In his words, “All-Stars helped me use my voice for change and learn to not be afraid of trying new things.”
James’s story is just one example of how ASAS programs change lives. This giving season, I encourage you to help us support more young leaders like James. Your gift—no matter the size—will provide essential resources and mentorship opportunities for students just like him.
Will you donate today to help shape the future for students in our communities?
Together, we can ensure that more students have the chance to find their voices, explore their passions, and create positive change in their lives and the world around them.
Thank you for believing in our All-Star students and for being part of this journey.
