REDDIT CO-FOUNDER TALKS TECH, LIFE LESSONS WITH ALL-STARS
Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of social news website Reddit, and the husband of tennis superstar Serena Williams spent an afternoon mentoring a group of students from After-School All-Stars in Richmond. In addition to co-founding Reddit, the fourth largest website in the nation, the 35-year-old was also a partner at Y Combinator, the most prestigious startup accelerator in Silicon Valley and he currently serves as a partner at Initialized Capital.

LEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHT
Daren Howard
Daren Howard is the Executive Director of After-School All-Stars Bay Area. He earned his MBA from California State University Dominguez Hills and holds more than fifteen years of experience in youth development and non-profit management. After spending time in both Southern California and Mexico, Daren now calls San Leandro home. He most recently served as the Director of Business Development at Partnership for Children and Youth – a strategic management and development position that included extensive work in advocacy campaigns, program evaluation, and technical assistance. Before joining the Partnership for Children and Youth, Daren developed both a skill and a passion for coaching, training, and professional development through his work directing after-school and summer learning programs.
