SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING RESOURCES
At All-Stars, we give our students a platform to have their voices heard, provide for physical and emotional safety, and create a positive and connected community of teachers, mentors, and coaches.
Social emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which youth and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for being a healthy adult. This includes problem-solving skills, communication and understanding, as well as guiding youth to embrace diversity and build healthy relationships that will last well into adulthood.

AFTER-SCHOOL ALL-STARS CARTOON ACADEMY
Our All-Star Academies provide opportunities for our students to develop skills through high quality classes and seminars, but they also serve as a place where our students from around the country self-express, build relationships with their peers, and connect with positive adults.
All-Stars inaugural Cartoon Academy is made up of 35 students and 16 mentors from across the country who love to sketch, draw, illustrate or enjoy another form of the visual arts. The Cartoon Academy curriculum will include drawing and illustration of a comic book and/or cartoon characters. Students will work their way through three phases of learning to build skill and knowledge in the creation of superhero characters, cartoons, and other forms of illustration and drawing.
