8 million unwanted animals find themselves in shelters and with animal rescues every year. Animal lover and advocate Katherine Schwarzenegger has made it her mission to educate kids on the importance of ‘adopt, don’t shop’ through her book, Maverick and Me. Katherine recently met up with a group of All-Star students to talk about fostering and adopting animals.

Her visit filled our energetic students with questions, and she listened attentively as the children’s hands raced towards the ceiling. Our students left eager to join in her advocacy for animals.
