For the past 11 years, ASAS founder Arnold Schwarzenegger and national board member John Simonian (founder of Westime, a watch and jewelry retailer) have co-hosted the Westime Charity Night event in support of After-School All-Stars.
What started as a small gathering of friends in 2013 has grown into something life-changing for hundreds of thousands of our students, and we’re excited to announce that this year’s event has raised $6.7 million!
Since its humble beginnings, Westime Charity Night has raised nearly $40 million for After-School All-Stars, helping to fuel the work we do with young people and our communities.
Every dollar invested in our mission makes a huge impact on students and families, and we’re so grateful for each person who joins us in believing that every child deserves exceptional learning experiences and meaningful mentorship opportunities.
Thanks in part to the support of people like you, more than $1 billion has been invested in our programs over the past 32 years, allowing us to reach 2.5+ million students!
This year’s event featured dozens of exciting auction items, and perhaps the most striking piece was American Dreamer, a hand-etched and pigmented leather portrait of Arnold Schwarzenegger by Mark Evans that took nearly five months to complete.
Beyond the auction, Berlin’s The BossHoss entertained guests with their signature high-energy rock, and Wolfgang Puck personally oversaw the event’s incredible Bavarian-inspired cuisine.
None of this would be possible without ASAS founder Arnold Schwarzenegger, national board member John Simonian, and the dedicated team at Westime. A big thank you as well to Heather Milligan, Mark Evans, Wolfgang Puck Catering, The BossHoss, and ASAS Board Chair Paul Wachter!
