We’re excited (and humbled) to share some wonderful news with the After-School All-Stars community—all of you who have helped to support and champion our mission over the years. The 10th annual Westime Charity Night presented by Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Simonian raised $7 million for After-School All-Stars!
Every dollar invested in our work makes a huge impact on students and communities, and we’re deeply appreciative of everyone who believes in the mission we serve and the incredible people at ASAS who deliver life-changing enrichment programs, mentorship opportunities, and learning experiences.
To provide a bit of backstory, the event’s origin dates to 2013 when ASAS Founder Arnold Schwarzenegger hosted a few friends at his home to help raise money for ASAS. Since then, the event has grown and evolved into something nobody could have expected.
Through the event’s many transformations, two things remain the same: Arnold still hosts the event, and the All-Stars mission continues to drive it.
While previous events embraced a celebration of California’s Western heritage, where guests wore cowboy boots and hats, this year’s Oktoberfest theme saw attendees in lederhosen, dirndls, and Bavarian hats. There were dozens of rare and historic items up for auction, most of which carried a connection to Arnold’s iconic influence on bodybuilding, politics, and entertainment.
Throughout the event, distinguished speakers like Ben Paul (ASAS CEO) and Paul Wachter (ASAS Board Chair) reiterated the importance of providing young people with free, comprehensive enrichment programs.
This event would not be possible without Arnold Schwarzenegger, ASAS Board Member John Simonian, the whole team at Westime, and their extraordinary dedication to the students we serve. We also extend a special thanks to all event partners, as well as the night’s emcee and longtime ASAS supporter, Matt Iseman!
