Amy Moynihan Heyward is a brand-marketing executive who has spent the past 20+ years managing, creating and launching some of the most valuable brands in the world. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and the thrill of creating and launching new brands, her experiences have ranged from launching new hotels and theme park attractions, a new cruise line, creating new business ventures for some of the most successful brands around the world, and most recently creating a new 21st century kids entertainment company with her husband and partner, Andy Heyward.
One of the original members of Disney Cruise Line, Amy was part of the team who created and launched this new business venture and the introduction of its first two ships and private Bahamian island. With the ships filled to capacity, she moved on to her next adventure as Director of Global Marketing at McDonald’s where she focused on building their young adult business, and also helped to create an international licensing program for McDonald’s worldwide. At Universal Studios Florida, she was involved in the launch of many new attractions, including the introduction of their second theme park, Islands of Adventure. She has helped to build strategic promotional partnerships for Hasbro. And, when she first moved to Los Angeles she served as Vice President of Marketing for the Los Angeles Times before starting a new company of her own.
Her new company, A Squared Entertainment is dedicated to producing “content with a purpose,” that is as entertaining for kids as it is enriching. Current animation projects include: Secret Millionaire’s Club with Warren Buffett; Martha & Friends with Martha Stewart; Gisele & the Green Team with Gisele Bündchen; and a new label of superheroes with Stan Lee called Stan Lee Comics.
A native New Englander and current resident of Los Angeles, Amy keeps one foot on each coast and tries to spend most of the summer working from their home in Martha’s Vineyard (aka: A Squared East). Much of her career has been spent in the business of entertaining kids, and she focuses her charitable efforts on helping underserved and underprivileged kids. She is a passionate member of the Board of Directors of LA’s Best, an essential after-school program for elementary school aged kids in the Los Angeles area, and also volunteers and contributes to many other non-profit kids organizations.
