Daniela

Spotlight

Daniela

Daniela started at ASAS DC chapter two years ago. She is passionate about leveling the playing field for children who are not afforded the same opportunities as others. She has 18 years of experience in education within the District of Columbia Public School system, nine years in the afterschool field, as the person who managed the relationships with all non-profits partnering with the school system for services in afterschool and summer school.

Because of her advocacy work on behalf of afterschool services for all students, last year Daniela was chosen to be one of 15 national Afterschool Ambassadors. In that role, she continued her advocacy work to promote awareness of afterschool needs in the nation and adequate funding to serve every child who wants to participate.

Daniela came to the US with her family from Italy. She often goes back to enjoy her beautiful country and can tell you exactly where to go to have a great meal in Rome!
