Hawaii

Hawaii All-Stars participate in a variety of sports leagues/competitions to hone their sporting skills, sportsmanship and to prepare them for High School Athletics. Leagues and competitions include baseball, basketball, bocceball, cross-country, football (flag and contact), rugby, soccer, softball, volleyball and wrestling. Even Hawaii Governor Ige comes to support the All-Stars.

Kimi Takazawa

Executive Director

Kimi Takazawa: Keeping middle-school kids engaged drives the president of ASAS Hawaii

Takazawa was previously with the Aloha Council, Boy Scouts of America, where she has served as their Director of Development and Marketing for the past three years. Kimi’s experience and tenure with Scouting allows her to draw best practices, programmatic elements and fundraising strategies, and apply them to her role with ASAS. She is passionate and committed to the betterment of Hawaii’s youth.

Takazawa is currently in the Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance cohort of 2017-18 and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She attended Punahou School, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Columbia University in the City of New York. She also attended Sophia University to study the Japanese language and culture.
